Thanks to funding from Clyde Wind Farm and LEADER, we have been able to create a modern facility that allows us to better deliver outdoor education programmes and increases our capacity for welcoming groups. We now have a self-contained space for groups separate from the main lodge, giving groups their own space to immerse themselves in their visit to us.
A Flexible Learning Space
The Russell Hub contains a bright and airy group space, suitable for groups of up to 12 (currently temporarily merged with the next door office space to allow for social distancing). Rear windows open up fully, allowing groups to flow to the outdoors with ease. The room also contains a wall-mounted TV for presentations.
A total of 8 showers and changing cubicles for groups to use after activities along with toilets have increased our ability to work with more groups.
Accessible for All
The hub is fully accessible for those with mobility issues or those in a wheelchair – including an accessible wet room.
