Vacancy: Catering Team Bank Staff

As we enter another busy season, we need some friendly, motivated and adaptable people to help us during busy times and cover for holidays in our kitchen and catering team.

Rotas are finalised a month in advance, but there may be times where we need cover short notice. Typical mealtimes are 8:30am breakfast, 1pm lunch and 6pm dinner, and we are happy to work around your availability and number of hours you can cover. Numbers that we cater for can vary in size from 12 to 100 for each meal.

Hours: Negotiable – when required by the organisation.

Salary: £12 per hour (real living wage).

Responsibilities Include

  • Assisting with food preparation: You’ll support the kitchen team by helping with cooking, food assembly, and meal preparation.
  • Meal service: All aspects of meal service.
  • Maintaining cleanliness: ensuring high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Kitchen hygiene: Keeping the kitchen environment clean and organised, including regular cleaning of surfaces, floors, and equipment.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Other tasks as required by the organisation.

Skills and Requirements

  • Good Communication skills
  • Experience cooking and preparing food (essential)
  • Good customer service
  • Problem solving
  • Food hygiene certificate (elementary essential)
  • Allergen awareness training (can be provided)
