New Year Message

Dear Guests and Supporters,

Firstly, a happy new year to everyone. It goes without saying that 2020 was a bumpy one, but not without highlights. Your continued support of the work conducted here has been an absolute pleasure to receive. The overwhelming notes of support, monies received and in some cases people getting hard at it to help out have provided smiles and relief to all of us here.

Staff that have not been furloughed through the last few months have been working hard to provide a raft of COVID-adjusted programmes, but also to put Wiston Lodge on the road with outreach facilities. We have improved our facilities on site and continue to create new ones for when you are able to return.

2021 has started not as anyone had hoped. As the government takes steps towards keeping us all safe, we can only be supportive of these new measures.  Wiston Lodge will therefore remain closed through this period. We will let you know as soon as we are able to open the doors again.

Again, I apologise to any group that had intended to visit Wiston Lodge in the coming weeks, but hope you can appreciate we are looking to secure the health and wellbeing of all our guests and staff alike. At our core remains the value to support our communities regardless of the economic implications. Please contact our office where we can either postpone your visit or refund your booking.

Many of our staff have been furloughed, and remaining staff are working remotely to develop programmes and bookings, supporting as many groups as we can. There remains a skeleton staff to ensure the maintenance and security of the estate. We will be open to enquiries and support to all of our valued guests and friends. We would encourage you to remain open to conversation by phone, email and social media channels. I must re-iterate that we ask friends and guests not to visit Wiston Lodge house and grounds through the duration of these latest restrictions. Our responsibilities to those staff remaining on site remain.

Many thanks for you continued support.

Jonny Sutherland
