With a weather-proof house so important for Wiston Lodge’s work, the roof repairs are vital. Thanks to Bill’s efforts the first phase of work can begin. He has previously raised money for charities by cycling the length of the country. This time Bill was joined by two friends, Trevor Bailey and Karen Farnan, with Karen’s husband Steve never far away in a back-up vehicle. They averaged 65 miles a day and made it through the week without even a puncture.
Thanks to all the support he raised over £2,000 from donations through our website and sponsorship.
Bill is exactly what every charity wants from a director. On top of all his official responsibilities and inputs, Bill has pulled on his cycling shorts and dedicated his time and sweat to the cause of fixing our old roof.
