Path of the Little People

Work on our BBC Children in Need funded ‘Path of the Little People‘ is now in full swing! Over the last couple of weeks, we have welcomed the first groups of young path volunteers. Pupils from Additional Support Units at Kear Campus, Chatelherault Primary and Cathkin Primary Schools, as well as a group of young adults from Dundee’s Rock Solid Youth Group, all had great fun getting stuck in with digging and exploring the grounds.

These day visits will be continuing into April, and we’re on the look out for more groups to come throughout 2017 to help contribute to the paths creation.

Outwith the group visits, our Path Coordinator, Sarah, has been busy working alongside Micah’s Grounds team. We’ve had several deliveries of stone, gravel and wood for bridges and huts that will form integral parts of the path. The woods are a hive of activity!

Our local newspaper the Lanark & Carluke Gazette also ran an article about the project earlier in the month, click here to read.
