Welcome to Wiston Lodge

Wiston Lodge provides physical, mental and spiritual challenge in a safe and sheltered residential environment for all users, but especially young people who are vulnerable and at risk;  enabling the development of respect for oneself, others and for the environment and encouraging lifestyles which are simple, nonviolent and free from destructive dependencies. Wiston Lodge is a charity, housed in a former Victorian Hunting Lodge built in the 1850s. We are located near Lanark in Scotland, an hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh and 10 minutes from the M74 (J13).

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Pilot Scheme Funding Awarded from Awards for All and Big Lottery

Wiston Lodge has just received a £9851 grant from the Big Lottery Fund through its Awards for All funding programme. The funding will allow us to launch a timely, collaborative project, “Going for Gold!” with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) and regional secondary schools’ Additional Support Needs (ASN) units. Path to Success: A Resource for All

Inclusivity of all children and young people is an approach Wiston Lodge adopts in all aspects of its centre development. Our key project ‘Path of the Little People’ is representative of this ethos. Our aim on the project is to provide a platform for children and young people with additional support needs (ASN) to use their imaginations, express ideas and develop creativity. ‘Path of the Little People’ brings the classroom outdoors. Outdoor education that focuses on building creative learning spaces, encouraging free play and supporting children to assess risk is what we are all about. We recognised that to build
